Why Do I Do What I Do?
One of the things I enjoy the most about the work I do is I get to help people tell stories: their own personal stories, their culture's, their family's and their creative stories.
There are so many kinds of stories that need to be told. Some might be stories from one’s cultural heritage that have been passed down from generation to generation, oral histories of one’s elder family members and personal stories of adversity and transformation as well as creative stories of all kinds. For some people there are just as many obstacles to telling them as there are stories to be told; some people simply do not have the time to sit down and write these stories themselves and some have physical limitations that make writing difficult to impossible for them.
That's where I can help.
But I also appreciate the professional needs for transcription, even in the modern times of digital communication. Transcription is simply the best form of compiling ideas, data, and stories for some clients.
